With less than three months to the start of the greatest golf tournament in the world, we thought the US Masters was definitely worth a quick mention!
The competition starts on Wednesday 5th April and ends in its inevitable climax of excitement, on the evening of Sunday 9th April ’17. The Augusta Masters golf course is probably the most attractive course. It is also the most challenging.
The beautifully laid out and immaculately tended course is designed to test and frustrate even the very best of golfers. This ensures that the spectators are guaranteed to see a range of wonderful match-winning shots and frustratingly annoying near missed puts and a range of embarrassing slices and hooks!
The ground staff work hard both during and before the tournament to ensure the course is in the optimum condition and those of you who have aver attended the US Masters will know that it is like walking in a beautiful oil painting.
I was fortunate enough to attend the US Masters in April 2016 and see Danny Willett take advantage of a collapse by reigning champion Jordan Spieth. Willett shot a superb bogey-free final round of 67 to win the tournament by three shots.
If you are fortunate enough to get the opportunity to go to the Masters then try and take advantage of the early practice days on the Monday and Tuesday. These are great opportunities to watch the best golfers in the world practicing their shots. You should be able to get some great photos of these wonderful golfers and if you are very lucky, then you may even get some great selfies too.
Last year we were fortunate enough to book with Tailormade Luxury Golf Holidays who looked after us spectacularly well. They were able to get us a choice of match tickets (including the practice days), flights and accommodation, all at the very best prices. They are also ATOL and ABTA Approved so I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone wishing to experience this amazing golf tournament.
